Welcome to Braiding Healing Medicine Counselling

Today is the first official day of Braiding Healing Medicine Counselling, and I am so glad you are here.

Whether you found your way here through a search, a recommendation, or a quiet moment of wondering whether counselling might help — welcome. This space was built with you in mind: someone navigating difficult emotions, a life transition, or the long and nonlinear path of healing after trauma.

I am Amy Lynch, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) practising in Ontario. My approach is wholistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in cultural responsivity. I work with adults who are ready to make space for themselves — even when that readiness feels uncertain.

If you are curious about what counselling at Braiding Healing Medicine looks like, I would love to tell you more.

What virtual counselling looks like

All sessions at Braiding Healing Medicine Counselling are offered virtually, which means we meet over a secure, private video platform from wherever you are in Ontario. You do not need to travel, find parking, or sit in a waiting room. You simply need a quiet space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection.

Virtual counselling is not a lesser version of in-person care. For many people, it is actually easier to open up from a familiar environment. You can have a warm drink nearby, a blanket, a pet, or whatever helps you feel settled. The work we do together is the same — thoughtful, relational, and paced to what feels manageable for you.

Sessions are 50 minutes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation before your first appointment so we can get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.

How booking works through Jane

I use Jane App to manage scheduling, intake, and secure communication. Jane is a trusted platform used by health and wellness practitioners across Canada, and it keeps your information private and protected.

Here is how the process works:

  1. Book a free 15-minute consultation through the link below. This is a low-pressure conversation — no intake forms, no commitment. Just a chance to connect, ask questions, and see how things feel.
  2. Complete your intake paperwork through Jane before your first full session. Jane will send you a secure link to review and sign your consent forms and provide some background information.
  3. Join your session through the link Jane sends to your email. You can join from a browser — no app download required.
  4. Pay securely through Jane after each session. I accept major credit cards and direct billing where applicable.

If you have any questions about the process before booking, you are always welcome to reach out through the contact page.

Thank you for being here

Opening a practice is an act of hope — hope that the people who need support will find their way to it, and that the space you create will feel worthy of their trust. I do not take that lightly.

If something here resonates with you, I hope you will reach out. You deserve care that honours your whole self.
